Education

We recognize girls' and children's education is one of the most powerful tools for development and equality in the world. Our unwavering commitment to this cause drives us to leverage media and communications as a bridge to bring education to every corner of the globe, regardless of geographical barriers. We utilize innovative media platforms and strategic communication to deliver educational content that transcends traditional classroom walls. Our initiatives are designed to reach the unreached, ensuring that girls and children from all backgrounds can access the learning resources they need to flourish. By tailoring our educational programs to be culturally relevant and engaging, we aim to ignite a passion for learning in young minds. We believe that every child, especially girls who often face the greatest obstacles to education, should have the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to their communities. Our mission is to transform the landscape of education through media and communication, making it inclusive, accessible, and empowering for every girl and child. Through education, we are not just informing but transforming lives, one lesson at a time.

YHF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Lapis is working with a group of leading Afghan NGOs, with support from the Yalda Hakim Foundation and Education Above All, to bring educational programming to nearly 40,000 students in 19 provinces.

The primary objectives of the YHF educational program are to ensure continuity of learning and provide a catch-up mechanism for all learners. Additionally, the program aims to establish  a  sustainable  model  for  informal  education  and  introduce  an  enhanced pedagogical  approach  to  improve  the  quality  of  education.  Lapis  supports  YHF  in implementing the project in Afghanistan and closely monitor the activities of the local partners throughout the project cycle.

Lapis’  key  responsibilities  include  coordinating  with  relevant  authorities  to  obtain government permission with the facilitation of EAA and YHF. We’re also responsible for translating resources into Pashto and Dari. Lapis facilitates coordination among all the implementation partners within the consortium.

Furthermore, Lapis is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the project, ensuring the delivery of quality services by the consortium partners.
